Jazz pianist Robert  Glasper and his Robert Glasper Experiment played a show at New York City's Blue Note jazz club on Saturday (Feb. 26) and a couple of surprise guest popped up: Kanye West and Mos Def showed up and freestyled for the room.

While Mos spit a typical freestyle, Kanye went off on a much longer rant, expressing his still-standing anger towards the media. "Every day of my life, people try to tell me that I hate the Whites, because I say what's right/ I go to sleep and deal with it every night," rapped Kanye West. "Black people wanna talk about me on blogs because I like clothes, like 'look at this bag,'/ it's what I have to deal with, real shit, y'all don't even understand what it takes to be a real man/ a Black man interested in art, speaking from the heart and playing my part/ and all this illuminati talk, like my first single wasn't 'Jesus Walks.'"

'Ye and Mos Def's impromptu performances were received with applauses and shouts from the impressed crowd.

Meh. Mos Def showed that he could freestyle, but KW was not in his element and his verses were way to choppy and spasmatic to be considered worthy.
